Next, add your vehicle’s custom dimensions and attributes. Specifically, create a commercial vehicle profile with the following truck restrictions and parameters: Vehicle Name, Vehicle Height, Vehicle Width, Vehicle Length, Vehicle Total Weight, and Weight per Axle Group. This way, you can add Class 1 to Class 8 trucks (light-duty, medium-duty, and heavy-duty trucks).

In the “Hazardous Materials” field, you can add the following HAZMAT truck restrictions: Explosives, Gas, Flammable, Flammable Solid/Combustible, Organic, Poison, Radioactive, Corrosive, Poisonous Inhalation Hazard, Harmful for Water, etc.

Plan Multi-Stop Truck Routes for Commercial Vehicles

To plan a single-stop or multi-stop truck route, all you need to do is add the preferred addresses. For your convenience, you can add addresses manually or pick addresses right from the map. To pick an address from the map, tap and hold on the preferred location on the map, and the app will automatically pick the nearest valid address.

Next, check the suggested address and then tap on the “Add to Route” button to add the address to your route as a stop. After that, Route4Trucks will automatically generate the fastest trucker path and most optimal trucking GPS driving directions to the added stop address, accounting for your vehicle’s parameters and restrictions.

To manually add a stop address, tap on the “Enter Address” field and then start typing in the preferred address. Route4Trucks will automatically suggest valid addresses based on the entered details. Accordingly, you can select one of the autocomplete suggested addresses and then tap on the “Add to Route” button to add the address to your route as a stop. After that, Route4Trucks will automatically provide the fastest and most optimal truck driving directions to the added stop address.

After that, in the “Restrictions” section, you can enable or disable the following road restrictions: Avoid Highways, Avoid Tolls, Avoid Ferries, Avoid Tunnels, and Avoid Unpaved Roads.

Navigate Multi-Stop Routes with Voice GPS Truck Navigation

To start the truck route GPS navigation after adding stop addresses, tap on the “Start” button. Next, tap on the “Confirm” button to confirm the vehicle for navigating your truck route or the “Switch Vehicle” button to select another commercial vehicle.

Accordingly, Route4Trucks will automatically generate the fastest and most optimal truck driving directions based on the parameters and truck restrictions of the selected vehicle. After that, you can proceed to navigate your truck route using commercial vehicle GPS navigation.

The Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) and Remaining Distance to the next stop is displayed at the bottom of the navigation screen. To check the ETA and remaining distance to each stop on a multi-stop truck driving route, tap on the menu icon in the bottom left corner of the map. Moreover, the app dynamically updates ETAs based on the truck speed, traffic, visited stops, etc.

To enable or disable Voice-Guided Truck GPS Navigation, tap on the speaker button in the top right corner of the map. When enabled, the app will tell you when and where to make the next turn to reach your destination.

You can check the Allowed Speed Limit on the road you are currently driving in the bottom left corner of the map. Moreover, when you exceed the allowed truck speed limit, the app alerts you with a sound and shows your current driving speed.

For your convenience and efficiency, you can adjust the commercial vehicle GPS map zoom and angle using gestures. Specifically, you can zoom in and out on the map using the finger stretch and finger pinch gestures. Additionally, you can place two fingers on the map and move them up or down together to increase or decrease the map tilt angle.

By adjusting your truck map zoom and tilt angle, you can see the landscape along the route, detailed building shapes, directions from your current location to the next stop, or the entire multi-stop route overview.

Furthermore, you can Add Stops, Remove Stops, or Resequence Route stops after you’ve started navigating your truck route. First, tap and hold on the X button to exit the truck navigation. Next, add new stops, remove existing stops, or resequence the route. After making the preferred changes, tap on the “Start” button to resume navigation. Accordingly, Route4Trucks will automatically update truck navigation directions based on the adjusted stops.

As you navigate a multi-stop truck route, the truck navigation app automatically notifies you about arriving at each route stop and shows the respective stop address. Next, tap on the “Go to Next Destination” button to start the navigation to the next route stop.

Similarly, when you arrive at the last stop, the app notifies you about arriving at the end of the route and shows the respective stop address. After that, tap on the “End Navigation” button to complete the route and close route navigation.

To adjust Route4Trucks app settings, tap on the menu icon in the top left corner of the screen and then select the preferred option. Vehicles – Add and Manage Trucks and Commercial Vehicle Profiles

To open your vehicles, tap on the menu icon in the top left corner of the map and then go to “Settings” from the menu. Next, tap on the vehicle in the “Vehicle” section to open your vehicles list.

Accordingly, to Add a New Vehicle, tap on the plus icon in the top right corner of the screen and then fill out the vehicle restrictions and parameters. Road Restrictions – Enable Truck Route Road Avoidances

To enableroad restrictions from the route planning screen, tap on the settings icon in the top left corner of the map. To enable road restrictions in the app’s settings, tap on the menu icon in the top left corner of the screen and then go to “Settings“.

Next, in the “Restrictions” section, you can enable and disable the following truck route road restrictions: Avoid Highways, Avoid Tolls, Avoid Ferries, Avoid Tunnels, and Avoid Unpaved Roads.

Route4Trucks will automatically generate truck route directions that avoid or include highways, toll roads, ferries over water crossways, tunnels, unpaved roads, etc. Accordingly, your truck route and trucker GPS navigation directions can vary depending on the enabled and disabled road avoidance settings.

Map Mode – Satellite and Night Mode Truck Navigation Maps

For your convenience and driver safety, you can change your truck GPS map view mode on the route planner and navigation screens. To do so, tap on the layers button in the top right corner of the map when planning a route, and then choose the preferred map view mode.

For example, you can use the commercial satellite truck maps view mode to view satellite imagery of real 3D buildings, real terrain, or landscape for more detailed route planning and navigation. Accordingly, you can use the navigation dark theme or truck maps night mode for safer driving at night.

Depending on the map view mode on the route planning screen, the same map view mode is applied to the GPS truck maps on the navigation screen. Accordingly, you can use regular, satellite, and dark theme truck maps for navigating your commercial truck GPS routes. To Open and Manage Your Route4Trucks Account, tap on the menu icon in the top left corner of the screen and then go to “My Account” from the menu. Next, you can check your account details, sign out of your account, or delete your account.
