When I connect to 5G with my Iphone 13. I have no service. I have reset network setting numerous times. This has been going on for months. I changed my phone to LTE to try to bypass the issue but that has recently stopped working.

We'll be happy to assist you with 5G, Tdogg24.

You'll need to make sure that you're on a plan that includes 5G. For postpaid service, that would be any of the unlimited data plans. For prepaid, that would be the Unlimited Plus plan.

If you are on one of these plans and still aren't getting 5G, even in areas where your friend is, try resetting your network settings by going toSettings>General>Reset>Reset network settings.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions or concerns.

My mobile data is not working on my or my husband's phones. I can send and receive calls and texts, but the internet and Google anything will not work without Wi-Fi. Is there a service issue I am not aware of? How can I fix this?

We'll be happy to assist you with your reception concerns @bigzekesmom.

There are a few possible fixes we can try here.

  • Try turning Airplane Mode on for a few seconds then off again. This will force a connection to the nearest tower.
  • Try resetting your network settings.
    • On iOS 15, go toSettings > General > Transfer or Reset [Device] > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
    • If you're using iOS or iPadOS 14 or earlier, tapSettings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
    • On Android, go toSettings > System > Advanced > Reset options > Reset network settings.

If these tips aren't effective for you, we'll need a little more context in order to proceed.

  • What kind of phone do you have? With this information, we'll be able to provide more personalized guidance.
  • When exactly did this begin?
  • What ZIP code are you located in? We can check the towers in your area.

This couldalsobe due to the shutdown of our 3G network. If your device isn't on ourlist of compatible devices, you will need to upgrade to a device that is.

If you ported a non-AT&T device to our network, you can try the following solutions:

  • Make sure yourdevice software is up to date.
  • Visit an AT&T storeto get a new SIM card.
  • Program your device'sAPN settings:
    • Tap yourSettingsmenu.
    • Choose eitherWireless & Networks, More Networks, orConnections.
    • TapMobile Networks,thenAccess Point Names.
    • Find and select the option to add a new APN. You may find a plus (+) symbol on the screen, or tap themenubutton.
    • Program each field using the settings found in the table.
    • Save your changes to return to the APN's menu and choose the new APN.

Please let us know if any of these solutions worked for you. Thank you for reaching out to our AT&T Community.

I have reset network settings, I have reset the entire phone, I have gone in to my local AT&T store who put a new SIM in and disabled eSIM. Tried airplane mode on/off. I have a brand new (Recently replaced) iPhone 12 Mini with an Unlimited 5G account.

I CAN make/receive calls

I CANNOT send/receive SMS or iMessage when connected to 5G. I've tried multiple towers in my area (When out on a run). When connected to 5G specifically, data is not going through. (Tried refreshing email, opening browser to a website, etc.)

I've tried the new 'refresh your connection' on the AT&T dashboard.

The local store was not helpful. Any other help?

Do you have any issues if you set your phone to LTE only? 5G in our area is still a bit unreliable so we just leave our iPhones on LTE and they work just fine for calls, iMessage, SMS/MMS, etc.

If the store you went to was a Retail Store and not a Corporate Store (they look the same) then they are pretty much useless as they are not staffed by AT&T employees.

Yes, I was able to try tonight walking my dog. Set to any LTE-only or 5G - I am unable to send/receive any data but phone calls still work.

I am really not sure if it can be an Apple issue at this point. They pushed out their last iOS update today, 15.6, so I updated the phone, wiped it entirely and started over. I'm on AT&T 50.0.2 using a physical SIM.

I do not believe it be a certificate trust setting.

Hmmm, I haven't updated my iPhone 12 yet but I am on the same Carrier Setting with a physical SIM, that I replaced last October when we switched our family plan to the 5G Unlimited Standard.

I'm updating my iPhone 12 now so we'll see but I'm not anticipating any issues. I'd leave your phone on LTE only (not 5G Auto or 5G On).

Thanks, and good luck. Like I said, makes no different on LTE of 5G, no data is going through. I'll leave on LTE-only for now, just from battery perspective.

@michaeldefoe I updated late last night and today the phone is fine. No issues whatsoever with calls sent/received, messages of any kind, browser, etc. WiFi-C is fine at home and LTE is solid away from our home WiFi. Data Roaming is disabled and Allow More Data on 5G is enabled.

OttoPylot - lucky you. Unfortunately, we now have the feeling that the AT&T reps did something to account itself; now my wife's LTE Apple Watch isn't receiving messages all of a sudden.

I took a bit of a drive today, and 20 miles away from my home I disabled iMessage, put the phone on LTE-only. Could not send/receive anything. Tried enabling iMessage and it wouldn't activate.

Right now, my iPhone is entirely unusable if I'm not on wi-fi. Heading back to the store today. Will report back any fixes.
